Splash Pad at the Town Center

The splash pad at the Johnston Town Center is located at 6245 Merle Hay Road. It is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.  The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The water can be turned on by stepping on the sensors in the splash pad area. Adults are encouraged to assist small children to help activate the sensors. Pets are not permitted in the splash pad. 

Beginning Tuesday, September 5, through the end of September, the hours will be modified to only be in operation Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Splash Pad Rules

  • The splash pad is an unsupervised facility. No lifeguard is on duty.
  • No pets are allowed in the splash pad.
  • The splash pad should be evacuated during severe weather or when thunder or lightning has been observed.
  • No smoking, eating, or drinking is allowed within the 'wet zone' of the splash pad. No glass containers are allowed on site.
  • No alcohol on the patio except during designated events.
  • Splash pad users should be courteous of others. No running, pushing or climbing on equipment or railings. 
  • Do not block drains.
  • Children must have adult supervision at all times.
  • Children who are not yet toilet trained shall wear swim diapers.
  • No soaps, detergents, or shampoos are allowed.
  • The splash pad may be periodically closed for weather, maintenance, or special events.
